Brussels Griffon * Adult * Female * Small

Description

Coco is a 4 year-old female Brussels Griffon. She is a shy sweetheart who has made progress in her foster home. She's finding she's a fluffy bed girl and beginning to explore beyond one room in the house. She's learning not all people are scary, and they can be a source of treats and kindness. While she enjoys the fresh air and green grass, she is still not convinced about the benefits of a leash! Coco's ideal family would be experienced "Griff" parents with a resident dog (does not need to be a Brussels Griffon, but a dog of similar size). She requires a fenced-in yard as she will need time to adapt to a leash. She startles easily and could be a flight risk without a secure fence. Because of her timid nature, she would do best in a quiet home with no children in residence or as frequent visitors. A lot of noise and activity is currently too much for her. We find our furry friends who have spent time in "commercial breeding facilities" need time and love. The miracle of them emerging from their shell and gaining confidence brings such joy. Coco is tired of looking for love in all the wrong places, and hopes she can find people who will earn her trust and help her appreciate all the wonderful things in life.

Suggested adoption donation for Coco is a minimum of $600 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs. Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts only to people living in states neighboring Nebraska and requires the adopter to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not transport or fly our rescue dogs. A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note: invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers.
