Description

Beautiful Bianca is a one of a kind dog who needs an exceptional family! We don't know Bianca's life story, but we do know the "middle chapter". We were asked to take Bianca into our care by a regional shelter. She arrived matted and infested with fleas. Some human wasn't kind to her. Her initial reaction to people is to hide, cover, or bark. She needs people who understand these behaviors are anxiety and are willing to provide training and socialization to build her confidence. Because she puts on a brave front but is uncertain underneath her bravado, her ideal home will be adult-only with no resident or visiting children (teens would most likely be fine). Once she warms up, she is loving and doesn't want to leave your side. She is very playful, one of her favorite games is chase! And this is a girl who "hearts" her toys! She IS crate trained, and like any dog needs to be taken out immediately upon being let out of the crate. She is petite at 10 lbs and would do best with someone who is home during the day or can come home to let her out as most small dogs cannot "hold it" for 8-12 hours. Bianca is not just a pretty face - she also is loyal to her people! Nothing will invade your yard with Bianca on duty! She will chase squirrels, etc. therefore she needs a securely fenced yard and a home without feline friends. She will settle most quickly in a quieter home and could be either the only dog or have a dog companion in her forever home. Bianca is approximately 6 years old. The shelter deemed her a "poodle mix" but she could have Bichon in her family tree.

Suggested adoption donation for Bianca is a minimum of $350 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs. Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts only to people living in states neighboring Nebraska and requires the adopter to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not transport or fly our rescue dogs. A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note: invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers.
