Terrier Mix * Adult * Female * Small Meet BlossomBlossom is approximately 2-5 years old and a mixed breed terrier. She was found as a stray in a small community and her owners did not attempt to claim her from the local shelter. After entering our care, we discovered poor Blossom had been suffering from massive bladder stones. She is doing beautifully on a prescription diet, which she will likely need to remain on for life. Blossom needs a family with a lifestyle where they can provide her with potty breaks approximately every 2 hours. Blossom is about 12 pounds with long legs. She is a sweet although somewhat shy girl. She enjoys playing with stuffed toys and sniffing in the yard with her foster canines. She would do well with one slightly larger dog who can show her the ropes and rules and be a nice friend. Blossom is friendly towards her foster parent's small dogs and cat. Blossom will go to the kitchen gate to be let outside. She will also use a pee pad. She is fairly well leash trained and knows sit and come. She is a runner so a 4-6 foot high wooden fence is a must. She has had a dental cleaning, is micro-chipped, spayed, and up to date on shots. The suggested adoption donation for Blossom is a minimum of $300 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers.
