Wag N Train Rescue

Brussels Griffon * Senior * Female * Small

Meet Lucy

Lucy is a 9 year old Brussels Griffon who was recently released from a Commercial Breeding Facility.  She was in pretty rough shape when she came in and was also pregnant but has now completed her motherly duties and is ready to find her own forever home.

Lucy is very sweet however extremely timid.  While she likes to be petted and loved she shies away when you are trying to pick her up.  Lucy gets along well with other dogs. She will need a securely fenced in yard as if she were to escape she would be very hard to catch.

Lucy is not house broke but she is crate trained.  She is very good about going outside if you keep an eye on her.  She does like her crate and feels safe in there.  She often goes in there to watch the world from a safe distance.  Lucy does have some corneal scarring and an ulcer on her right eye, but other than that is in pretty good shape.

Suggested adoption donation for Lucy is a minimum of $300 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs. Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts only to people living in states neighboring Nebraska and requires the adopter to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not transport or fly our rescue dogs. A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note: invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers.

More about Dog

Lucy is an 9 year old female Brussels Griffon from a commercial breeder.  Lucy recently had a litter of 3 puppies, two of which passed away. She is very timid so would be best in a quiet home and one without young children. She will need a securely fenced yard. Lucy is working on housetraining and crate training. She will need a patient family to help her recover from her difficult journey and work with her to bring out her sweet and loving nature.
