Wag N Train Rescue

Terrier Mix * Young * Male * Small

Meet Bobby

Bobby is a happy little 3 yr old terrier mix.  Bobby came in as a stray, so we don't know much about his past, except that he has lived through some difficult times. This little guy is potty trained and is learning to like his kennel. Bobby deals with some anxiety and fear issues.  He will NEED a very patient, understanding and experienced owner willing to work through Bobby's anxiety and build trust with him.  When he's frightened or in pain, Bobby has been known to bite.  Not out of being malicious, but purely out of fear.  Bobby would benefit from some work with an in home trainer to help his new family understand how to best address his issues. When he's not in a stressful situation, Bobby is happy and loving.

He's learning how to play fetch and enjoys attention from his fosters.  He's playful and fun in an environment where he feels safe and protected by his people.  Due to his anxiety issues, Bobby will need quiet home, NO kids and a securely fenced yard, he is known to be quite the escape artist! Bobby would do best as an only dog until he has worked through his anxiety and trust issues. Bobby also has a luxating patella that we are treating conservatively with medication from our vet.

Suggested adoption donation for Bobby is a minimum of $300 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs. Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts only to people living in states neighboring Nebraska and requires the adopter to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not transport or fly our rescue dogs. A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note: invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers.
