Miniature Schnauzer * Puppy * Female * Small

Meet Breezy

Breezy is a sweet 6 month old female schnauzer. She loves being with her people, especially her foster mom. She does well with small children but can get anxious if there is too much noise. Likewise she is intimidated when approached by people from the front and isn't a big fan of being picked up. However when things are calm, especially if foster mom is sitting down she will allow herself to be picked up. She has learned to go out and potty, but does still have some accidents as puppies do.

Breezy has a same age schnauzer foster sister to play with, who has taught her so much, especially how to play with other dogs and that playing is fun! Her larger Labradoodle foster sister also plays, but can be a little rougher and intimidating (though never hurtful) and a “gang” does scare Breezy a little. She is getting more confident as she learns how to interact with other dogs and overall enjoys playing with dogs her size.

Breezy loves toys, of all sorts, and quickly figured out the toy box! There isn’t a toy she doesn’t love, nor a bone she doesn’t love to chew! She can be a bit guarding with toys. She also quickly figured out the couch is a wonderful place to lay!  She enjoys couch time whenever, especially with her foster family.  She is a good girl and likes her kennel and will go in it. She doesn’t like when her people leave  but she has the other dogs with her when her foster family goes out. She has also learned that night snuggles and sleeping with mom and dad is the best, so she sleeps well in the family bed.  She is still fearful of car rides and as yet hasn't been taken on a leash or out on walks. She is learning on how to eat out of a bowl, instead of the ground or a plate.

Breezy is a special little girl, who has much love to give and receive.  A companion dog who is smaller and playful, but not overbearing, is a must.  She has come quite far in a few weeks, but has more to learn of the world and people, and more to show who she is.

Suggested adoption donation for Breezy is a minimum of $500 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs. Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to other geographical areas as long as we can find a local volunteer to perform the courtesy home visit, and requires the adopter to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note: invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers.
