Wag N Train Rescue

Meet Debbie

  • Breed: Terrier Mix
  • Age: Adult
  • Gender: Female

Debbie came into rescue a very frightened little girl with six other dogs, after the death of their owner. She has always preferred the four legged companions more than the two legged. Debbie likes all the resident dogs and doesn't mind the kitty. She has passed many milestones like learning to eat quality dog food and will take treats out of our hand. She will sniff our fingers but doesn’t want to be touched. If she is picked up, she likes to be petted and doesn’t try to bite. Strangers scare her but she never bites. She will bark from a distance and quiets most of the time when asked.

A resident dog is a must. She is not fully house trained but goes outside or on a potty pad 85% of the time. She is going to need someone who is willing to be patient and gain her trust at her pace, but she is well worth the challenge!

My adoption donation is a minimum of $250. Funds go towards the high cost of care for our foster dogs.

Wag N' Train Terrier Rescue adopts nationally (the contiguous 48 states) if we can locate a volunteer willing to assist with a home visit. Approved adopters need to be prepared to travel to the Omaha area, we do not ship our foster dogs and we do not arrange transports.

Unless otherwise indicated, our foster dogs require a securely fenced yard. Invisible/underground fencing does not classify as "secure."

Our volunteers process applications that meet the MINIMUM criteria for a specific foster dog. If you do not meet the baseline requirements, we encourage you to continue to monitor our Facebook page and website for a foster dog who is a great fit for your lifestyle!

Please refer to the Additional Details section of the bio for specific information about the foster dog. We receive a high volume of applications and can only process applications that meet the criteria for that specific dog.
