Dipper is a purebred liver Miniature Schnauzer who recently celebrated his first birthday in the safety of a loving foster home after being released by a commercial breeder. He is a quiet, curious, and playful little dog who is still learning how to navigate life as a cherished companion.

Dipper can be easily startled and needs time to feel safe in new situations, but underneath that timid exterior is a gentle dog with so much potential. With patience, consistency, and love, Dipper is continuing to gain confidence every day.

What Makes Dipper Special:
Dipper is a soft-hearted, observant boy who enjoys the comfort of a familiar routine and the reassurance of other dogs. He has a sweet nature and a playful side that begins to shine once he feels secure. Watching Dipper learn to trust and come out of his shell is incredibly rewarding.

What Dipper Needs:
Dipper requires a home with a resident dog to help guide him and show him the ropes. He also needs a securely fenced yard, as he is not yet comfortable enough for leash-walking and is still working on housetraining. Because he is a sensitive dog, Dipper would do best in a calm home with adults or older, respectful children.

Wag N’ Train Terrier Rescue adopts nationally (contiguous 48 states) if a local volunteer performs a home visit. Approved adopters must travel to Omaha to pick up their dog — no transport services.

Invisible/underground fencing does not qualify as secure.
