Meet Barbie: A Gentle Little Terrier Learning to Trust
***Barbie is a sweet, quiet 4-year-old Norwich Terrier with a tender heart and a brave little spirit.***
Barbie is a purebred Norwich Terrier with a beautiful black and tan coat and a soft, gentle personality. At approximately 11 pounds, she is a small girl who is looking for a patient forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and understood.
Barbie is shy at first and may need time to adjust to new people and new surroundings. She is not a pushy or demanding dog; she is quiet, observant, and learning that people can be kind. With patience, routine, and gentle encouragement, Barbie has so much potential to blossom.
What Makes Barbie Special: Barbie is affectionate, curious, food-motivated, gentle, quiet, quirky, resilient, and shy. Her food motivation will be a wonderful tool for bonding and confidence-building. She is the kind of dog who may start cautiously, but each little step forward will feel like a big victory.
What Barbie Needs: Barbie will do best with an adopter who understands shy or sensitive dogs and will allow her to settle in at her own pace. A calm, predictable routine and positive reinforcement will help her continue gaining confidence. She is good with dogs, cats, and kids, but because she is shy, respectful handling and a gentle home environment will be important.
The Right Home for Barbie: • Patient adopter who understands shy dogs • Calm, gentle household • Positive reinforcement and consistent routine • Good with dogs • Good with cats • Good with kids who are respectful and dog-savvy • Securely fenced yard required for terrier breeds • Someone who will help her continue building confidence
Barbie is a sweet little terrier with so much love waiting to shine through. She is ready for a forever family who will celebrate her progress, respect her tender nature, and help her discover the joy of being a cherished companion.
