Wag N Train Terrier Rescue's mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, train, and re-home dogs in need of permanent homes. Although we specialize in terriers, we work to rescue other small dog breeds as well. We are a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization located in Omaha, Nebraska. We pride ourselves on our professional approach to dog rescue - we are members in good standing in the Nebraska Rescue Council and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. Our organization is staffed entirely by volunteers. We have no formal facility; all of our dogs live with foster families until they are ready for adoption. While in the care of our wonderful foster families, our dogs are learning:

• Social Skills
• House (potty) Training
• Kennel Training
• Leash Training

Once the dog is properly socialized, has a good command of basic house manners and can respond to basic commands, we work diligently to place each dog with the best possible adoptive family.

What makes our rescue exceptional? Our Sanctuary Sweethearts - dogs who stay in rescue for the remainder of their lives because of advanced age or serious health issues. Through the kindness and generosity of our volunteers and thanks to private donations, Wag N Train provides all medications, supplements, dog food and veterinary care for these dogs.
